Pauline Yawoa Dzidzo Da Costa obtained a Master of Science in Earth Sciences from Lomé University, Togo in 1989; DEA. in Hydrogeology from the University Cheick Anta Diop of Dakar, Senegal in 1992; she received a Ph.D. in Sedimentary Geology from the Lomé University, Togo in 2005.
Her researches concern sedimentology and micropaleontology, using microfossils (foraminifera calcareous nannofossils) and sedimentological data to dating sedimentary rocks and search for paleoenvironments. Pauline is the first Woman Geologist in Togo who contributed to the progress of geological research in Togo and her various work have a better understanding of coastal sedimentary basin of Togo, with a good command of field works, biostratigraphic and palaeoenvironmental data.
She works as Assistant-Master at the Geology Department of Lomé University, Togo, where she currently teaches (stratigraphy, palaeontology and sedimentology).
She is a member of:
the Togolese Woman Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (FTPST);
The Third World Organization for Women in Sciences'' (TWOWS) and
